Early in May 2008 the second Global Conference of the Global Reporting Initiative took place. Over 1000 participants from 58 countries gathered in Amsterdam to discuss sustainability and transparency in sustainability reporting.

Early in May 2008 the second Global Conference of the Global Reporting Initiative took place. Over 1000 participants from 58 countries gathered in Amsterdam to discuss sustainability and transparency in sustainability reporting.
The focus lay on the sustainability readers’ views on sustainability reporting and whether the current reports meet the needs of their intended audiences. In this context GRI conducted the Readers’ Choice Survey and priced the best reports in different categories with the GRI Readers’ Choice Award.
