On the first symposium of the EU-project ObservatoryNANO on 10th and 11th March 2009 the fifteen ObservatroyNANO-projectpartnersrepresentatives from ten different countries came together in Dusseldorf in order to provide intermediate results about the project proceedings so far and to show how discussions in different fields of nanotechnology and -science progress.

During the conference "Shaping European Nanotechnology" on 19th March in London participants of the interested public had the opportunity to join the discourse and are also invited to do so in the future.
