Being confronted with great challenges in the area of demografic and climate change, environmental issues and monetary restriction, the aim of municipal organisations is to assure sustainable public services based on their versatile strengths. 

triple innova was responsible for the reserach activities for the water supply and sewage area and developed strategies and measures that address the most significant challanges. It found that the vision of sustainable development forms a solid foundation for balancing a high service and "product" quality with reasonable and affordable prices and a long-term orientation towards the "public value". 

The methods developed and used include a comprehensive SWOT analysis and are designed to assist individual public utilities (also in the area of energy and waste services) to develop individual strategies.
