Forming Opinions on the Issue of Stem Cell Research Print

Energy Efficiency Fund Print

On behalf of the Hans-Böckler-Stiftung (HBS) the project "Energy Efficiency Funds in Germany", started in June 2004. The basic idea is to present financial incentives to energy service providers, to make them handle energy more efficiently und to offer corresponding proposals to their customers. Next to other partners triple innova will contribute to the clarification, how energy efficiency funds can be organised and financed and which programmes should be considered as eligible.

The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research has assigned the Wuppertal Institute and triple innova to identify central links for the aspired increase of resource productivity. triple innova has developed a so called Hot-Spot-Analysis, which aims at rapidly and systematically identifying the most important resource consumptions along the whole life cycle of products and services. Results can form the basis for developing efficiency improvement and innovation strategies. Final Concerence of the Research-Partnership INFRAFUTUR Print

As part of the EU-sponsored project Nanologue, triple innova has published the NanoMeter, an Internet-based instrument for self-evaluation. It allows developers of nano-products to assess their products’ impact on central aspects of society, in the ideal case in an early stage of development. Topics as the societal relevance of the products, health and environment-related questions, aspects of privacy, product responsibility or transparency may be essential to the economic success of applications, as they are potentially able to influence public acceptance of a product.
