Methodological knowledge for smart and healthy homes
By providing methodologically oriented desk research, triple innova contributes to the European “Living Lab” project, which aims to design a research infrastructure to research human interaction with, and stimulate the adoption of, sustainable, smart and healthy innovations around the home.

Social sciences methods are applied by triple innova, first, to the experimental design and research setting and, second, to the choice and participation processes of volunteer participants. Insights from theory and empirical studies about research, observation and interview settings, as well as culture, social background, power and lifestyles are evaluated in order to foster transparent and easily applicable research outcomes.
Living Lab brings together Europe’s top research institutes and companies and aims to stimulate cooperative projects in the fields of user centred research and product development; it is funded within the 7th Framework programme for research and technological development of the European Union. triple innova, not a Living Lab project partner, contributes with delimited tasks.
