Holger Wallbaum
Holger Wallbaum, Prof. Dr.-Ing., is the initial founder of triple innova. He studied safety engineering and risk management in Germany and France and received a Ph.D. in Architecture. Since 1995 he has been a fellow at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy. In recent years he has been working as senior consultant within the Sustainable Production and Consumption Department at the Wuppertal Institute. Furthermore, he works as a scientific consultant for several Trade Unions and has gained professional experiences in the fields of sustainable enterprises, water and building related material flows, life cycle analysis, sustainability indicator systems and furthermore in the field of management tools for decision support and communication. He is also a member of diverse international boards, i.e. the United Nations Environment Programme Sustainable Buildings, the factor X network and the German Association of Engineers (VDI). From August 2006 on he holds the position of assistant professor for sustainable construction at the ETH in Zurich.

Brigitte Biermann
Brigitte Biermann, Dr. phil., is managing director of triple innova. She is dedicated to qualification and consultancy, because she considers innovation and learning important pre-conditions for the sustainable development of enterprises, institutions and societies. Brigitte Biermann has extensive experience in dealing with environmental problems in interdisciplinary teams. She is specialised in governance for sustainability and has expertise in the fields of climate change, risk and technology assessment, water, nutrition and gender. Working for the interdisciplinary masters programme in environmental sciences, a co-operation of Hagen University with the Fraunhofer Technology Academy, she fostered networks between actors from different institutions and backgrounds in order to combine ecological, economic and social aims efficiently and putting them into practice. Brigitte Biermann studied political and social sciences, philosophy and law in Germany, Italy and the Netherlands and managed degree programmes in co-operation with enterprises and scientists from diverse disciplines.

Fabian Lollert
Fabian Lollert, Grad. Engineer in Spatial Planning, has been supporting
the team since 2009 in research on sustainable products and services. He
attained experience in sustainability issues by working for the
interdisciplinary masters programme in environmental sciences, a
co-operation of Hagen University with the Fraunhofer Technology Academy.
In his interdisciplinary studies of spatial planning in Dortmund and
Istanbul he dealt with several aspects of sustainable (spatial)
development. In his diploma thesis he developed success metrics for
local climate protection processes. Emphasis is put on engaging with
relevant local stakeholders.

Britta Höllermann
Britta Höllermann has been with triple innova since 2007. Her main areas
of interest cover water resource management, renewable energies and
educational matters concerning the environment. In-keeping with her
diploma study programme which she accomplished in 2008 at the Rhine
Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Bonn and the Victoria University of
Wellington /Newzealand (BScHons Physical Geography); she is mainly
dealing with the relationship between man and his environment in respect
of sustainability whereby she is delving into such areas as
development, hydrology, resource management and degradation. At the
moment she is doing research as part of the interdisciplinary project
GLOWA-IMPETUS ( Global Change in the Water Cycle- Integrated Management
Project for an efficient and sustainable handling of fresh water in West
Africa).

Katna AnnKatna Ann, Bachelor of Science in environmental technology and resource management, has been supporting the team since 2010. Emphasis of her work is the research on sustainable products and services regarding new technologies, in particular nanotechnologies. Beyond that their expert's assessment lies in the ranges environmental technology and production-integrated environmental protection as well as management of raw materials and energy. At triple innova she works particular in the project „ObservatoryNano“ and in environmental referred product- and branch- studies. The basis for her work with triple innova forms her course of study, environmental technology and resource management of the faculty’s civil engineering and mechanical engineering at the Ruhr University of Bochum. She wrote her Bachelor thesis in cooperation between triple innova and the Ruhr University of Bochum. In her thesis she checked the self-assessment tool NanoMeter, which was preformed by triple innova and examined it for its applicability on the basis of the example from nano membranes for the waste water treatment.

Andreas Künzlberger
Andreas Künzlberger studies sociology at University of Duisburg. He was an intern at triple innova in summer 2010. Since then he assists triple innova in research on sustainable products and services.
